About Me

img_0168copy2Hi! My name is Carol Henderson and I am a teacher-mom with 5 kids, ranging in age from 13 to 23. To tell you a little bit about myself, I need to go back about 10 years when I thought it would be a great  idea to publish the history reading list that I had accumulated over the years on the internet. So in 2003, A Book In Time was born, initially as simply a history reading list. And then the site evolved to include crafts, interactive activities, and other downright fun stuff for social studies teachers to use in their classrooms.

After getting the first site up and running, I thought it would be nice to be able to offer all my online friends an easy way to get teachers books in all subjects, just by downloading a file from their computer. One thing led to another, and the School eBookstore was born.   That little project left me tied to my computer at all hours of the day and night, and my family wondered if we’d ever have a normal life again.  But it all has a happy ending–the site is up and running and my life is back to normal–but then again…what is normal?   :-)

I’ve tried several other website ideas over the years, and finally decided that this blog was the way to go.  Here I can share individual teachers books in detail, and fill you in on the latest offerings from the top educational publishers.  So if you are wondering about any of the publishers or the products, please contact me, and I’ll do my best to help you out.

And don’t forget to drop by and browse around the eStore to see all the teachers books!
